i Cubed Systems, Inc. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; President and CEO: Tsutomu Sasaki; hereinafter referred to as i Cubed Systems, Inc. ) has launched its enhanced MDM service, "CLOMO MDM," featuring strengthened lost device countermeasures to reduce the risk of unauthorized use when iOS/Android devices are lost.
With this feature implementation, IT administrators at corporations, educational institutions, and medical facilities can now remotely perform the following actions via CLOMO MDM on lost iOS/Android smartphones and tablets: * Display a device recovery message and contact information * Enforce a lock until the device is recovered (*1) * Force retrieval of device location information (*2) * Continuously issue device initialization commands indefinitely (*3)Utilizing this feature enhances loss countermeasures for smartphones and tablets used by corporations, educational institutions, and medical organizations, reducing the risk of device disposal due to loss and the risk of information leakage due to unauthorized device use.
This feature is highly effective for preventing theft and loss. Apple's "Find My iPhone" service, primarily offered to individuals, provides similar functionality. Data released in the year it launched showed iPhone thefts decreased by 50% in London, 40% in San Francisco, and 25% in New York.

When this feature is applied to a device, CLOMO MDM automatically sends a notification email to IT administrators. This allows IT administrators to monitor the status of feature application on lost devices without accessing the CLOMO MDM management console, enabling efficient management.
i Cubed Systems, Inc. will continue to strive as a frontrunner in the corporate smart device market, solving the challenges faced by companies, educational institutions, and healthcare organizations seeking to implement and utilize smart devices, thereby contributing to their business success.
- *1: On iOS devices, this feature prevents unlocking via device-side operations; an unlock command must be issued from CLOMO MDM. On Android devices, enabling a passcode lock effectively prevents unlocking via device-side operations.
- *2: On iOS, location information is obtained regardless of whether location services are ON or OFF. On Android, location services must be turned ON.
- *3: To use this feature, the device must meet the following requirements: * iOS: iOS 9.3.2 or later, and be a monitored device * Android: Android OS 2.3 or later
