Attraction for Engineers

Attraction for Engineers

Discover the appeal of working as an engineer at i Cubed Systems through interviews with our employees.

Speed, freedom, and teamwork.

Software Engineer, Senior Manager

I was a software engineer at a manufacturing company before joining i Cubed Systems. I was drawn to the Company’s technical strengths, but the deciding factor was the speed of the selection process.

I was surprised how quickly the selection process concluded, from the first interview to the interview with the CEO. Our Company also allows flexible remote work depending on the situation, enabling truly free work.
I was shocked when my boss said that if efficiency improves, we should work however we find most comfortable.

I also feel the strength of our teamwork in how the entire Company unites to support us during troubles. Also, the freedom to attend overseas conferences is another appeal. In fact, one of my team members is in Las Vegas today.

The more proactive you are, the more enjoyable it is.

Software Engineer, Senior Manager

I am responsible for product planning, and deciding “what to build” and “why to build it.”

While anyone can propose ideas at our Company, supporting those proposals is also part of my role.
Originally an engineer at an electronics manufacturer, I joined after returning to my hometown.
The work style here was completely different from what I imagined for an IT company.
For example, I can step away for family reasons or switch to remote work without hesitation, allowing me to attend every parent-teacher observation day.

Another appeal is that the president comes from an engineering background, making it easier to gain understanding for implementation-focused plans through technical discussions.
I think it’s an environment where proactive people thrive.

The more proactive you are, the more enjoyable it is.

QA Engineer

I am currently responsible for product testing and improving automated testing.

I joined after working as a part-time tester and graduating from university.
The appeal of our Company is definitely the people. Conversation flows easily within the team, and communication is lively.
I can pursue what I want to do and find satisfaction in my work. I have no complaints.

Skill development is entirely up to me. I plan to continue acquiring various skills going forward.

Regarding Engineer Recruitment

In contrast to the traditional Japanese proverb of “hammering down the nail that stick out,” which discourages diversity, i Cubed Systems actually proactively draws out diversity.

i Cubed Systems specializes in cloud, mobile, and B2B solutions, primarily developing and providing the “CLOMO” service that supports mobile utilization.

CLOMO is deployed across diverse industries, including corporations, medical institutions, educational organizations, and government agencies. It is widely used by organizations supporting local communities as well as companies representing Japan.

We are seeking colleagues who pursue consistently high service quality and user experience while creating new value.

Engineering

We actively adopt even the latest technologies if they contribute to service improvement.
We utilize Microsoft Azure for our service infrastructure and were honored with the Microsoft Partner of the Year 2016 Open Source on Azure Award for our Azure expertise. Our service platform also incorporates cutting-edge technologies.
Currently, CLOMO’s production environment is built on Kubernetes, and development occurs within containers.

Technical Growth Support

We actively participate in technical conferences both domestically and internationally as part of our work. We have attended international conferences such as Microsoft Build, AWS re:Invent, Apple’s WWDC, and Google I/O, as well as domestic conferences like RubyKaigi, iOSDC, DroidKaigi, and PM Conf. We also purchase relevant technical books for work purposes using company funds. Additionally, we regularly host hackathon events led by our engineers, providing opportunities to pursue development projects that are difficult to realize during regular service development.

Career Paths

We offer two career paths: a Management Track, where you leverage management skills, and a Specialist Track, where you leverage specialized skills. Upon reaching a certain position, you can choose one of these tracks.

For the Management Track, as the name suggests, management skills and achievements are primarily evaluated.
For the Specialist Track, technical expertise, sales skills, accounting knowledge/experience, and other specialized skills and achievements specific to the role are primarily evaluated.
