Under the above premise, to securely access existing internal systems and cloud services from Windows devices, measures are required that are independent of the device's network status, such as "countermeasures against unauthorized removal," and "emergency measures (theft, loss)" that reliably prevent the recovery of business data within Windows devices.

IT administrators can perform "remote lock" and "remote wipe (data initialization)" on Windows devices through CLOMO MDM. Furthermore, for Windows devices (*6) equipped with "SecureWipe (*5)" provided by VAIO Corporation, advanced emergency countermeasures can be implemented.
The conventional remote wipe function for Windows achieved "data initialization" by using BitLocker encryption to make it difficult to extract business data from Windows devices, thereby forcing them to transition to factory default settings. On VAIO PCs utilizing the new "SecureWipe" feature supported by CLOMO MDM, forced data initialization can be executed directly from the BIOS onto SSDs or hard disks (*7).This process cannot be interrupted during data initialization, providing more reliable information leak countermeasures than conventional "remote wipe."
Usage Monitoring
IT administrators can use CLOMO MDM to obtain information such as the "communication status" and "installed application details" of Windows devices. Furthermore, by configuring alerts according to each company's security and operational policies, CLOMO MDM periodically checks for devices that have not responded within a set timeframe. Upon detection, it automatically sends alert emails to both the administrator and the device owner.
Application and Removal of Function Restrictions
IT administrators can remotely configure restrictions or permissions for Windows device features such as the camera, USB connections, and Wi-Fi connections through CLOMO MDM. Using this feature allows you to quickly prepare Windows devices with optimized functionality tailored to employees' departments, positions, and other roles.
Countermeasures Against Unauthorized Removal (*8)
IT administrators can implement security measures linked to location information on Windows devices through CLOMO MDM.The agent app deployed to Windows devices from CLOMO MDM monitors device removal policies such as "changes in AC adapter connection," "changes in Wi-Fi connection," and "changes in location information." Upon detecting a violation, it automatically implements information leakage countermeasures regardless of network connection status. These include "disabling keyboard, mouse, touch panel, etc.," "forced logout," "deleting folders/files in specified paths," and "loud alarm."
