CLOMO MDM is compatible with Android™ for Work

– Certified for Google™ EMM products, delivering advanced enterprise security for Android devices –

Based on this certification, i Cubed Systems begins offering "CLOMO MDM" compatible with "Android for Work" starting today.

Until now, smartphones and tablets running Android OS have been widely adopted by Japanese companies due to their "low device cost" and "high customizability." With this EMM product certification, "CLOMO MDM" now enables stable use of advanced security features compliant with "Android for Work" specifications, along with device and application management, achieving stable and efficient mobile management (*1)(*2).

Security features compliant with Google specifications

With CLOMO MDM, which supports Android for Work, you can reliably implement functional restrictions at the OS level according to Google's specifications. These include features previously implemented by MDM vendors using their own methods, such as "multi-user usage restrictions" and "network settings reset restrictions."

◯ Comprehensive Management via CLOMO MDM

Previously, Android device users could perform actions that removed them from MDM service management, such as "adding users" or "resetting the device."
With CLOMO MDM supporting Android for Work, IT administrators can now restrict departure actions that cause devices to leave MDM management—such as "adding users," "deleting Google accounts for Android for Work," and "resetting devices." This enables them to achieve "reduced mobile management costs" and "prevent loss of device assets."

◯ Advanced App Management

Previously, IT administrators had to instruct or request device users to perform operations when deploying "Google Play™ Store apps" or "company-specific apps." However, with "CLOMO MDM" supporting Android for Work, IT administrators can now remotely force install or force uninstall "Google Play Store apps" and "company-specific apps" (*3)(*4).
Furthermore, while blocking the standard app marketplace "Google Play," users can now access the enterprise-exclusive app portal "Google Play for Work." This enables the safe deployment of business apps while prohibiting unauthorized apps, such as game apps or dangerous apps that could infect devices with malware. Consequently, it achieves an app management environment that simultaneously delivers "significant efficiency gains in app management tasks" and "prevents the use of unauthorized apps."

IT administrators can now restrict usage through "CLOMO MDM," which supports Android for Work, including standard apps provided by the Android OS such as "Mailer" and "Browser." This makes it easier to manage apps according to specific business purposes, such as forcing usage by displaying only the icons of specific business apps.
For example, by restricting usage solely to our "CLOMO SECURED APPs" series—which combines the ease of use of standard apps with enterprise-grade security and operational features for functions like browser, mailer, address book, calendar, and file sharing—IT administrators can achieve a highly secure Android device environment tailored for business use. This allows them to precisely monitor the usage of business apps and content while maintaining advanced security.
