Key New Features of CLOMO MDM Compatible with Apple School Manager (*2)
・Compatible with Shared iPad
Shared iPad is a feature designed for schools where multiple students share an iPad. Students can log in to their individual learning environment by selecting their profile picture displayed on the iPad's lock screen. Upon login, students resume where they left off in the previous lesson, enabling teachers to start class with the same preparation time as if each student had their own iPad.
Furthermore, educational institution IT administrators can remotely manage all aspects of Shared iPad usage—including user count settings, device management, and app distribution—through Apple School Manager and CLOMO MDM. This eliminates the need to collect devices when making configuration changes.
・Managed Apple ID support
Managed Apple ID is a brand-new Apple ID specifically designed to help educational institutions seamlessly utilize Shared iPad. School IT administrators can set up Managed Apple ID through Apple School Manager and CLOMO MDM, enabling easy deployment and management.
Furthermore, "Managed Apple ID" not only provides access to "iCloud" and "iTunes U" like conventional Apple IDs, but also supports features such as "bulk creation of IDs without requiring email address registration" by the educational institution's IT administrator and "functionality restrictions optimized for education." This significantly reduces the effort required for Apple ID deployment and management.
・Classroom application support
The Classroom App allows you to open the application for everyone simultaneously and control what students see on their devices. Teachers can also use the Classroom App to view any student's screen with a single tap to check their progress on worksheets or equations. When students need to reset their passwords, teachers can assist directly from their iPad, ensuring a smooth learning experience.
Furthermore, educational institution IT administrators can remotely configure class and student information for the Classroom App via CLOMO MDM. This eliminates the need to collect devices when making configuration changes due to student promotion, class changes, or similar events.
