We sincerely appreciate your continued use of i Cubed services.
Starting around 10:00 PM on October 17, 2021, some customers using our mobile device management service "CLOMO" have experienced an issue where mobile devices managed by CLOMO were unintentionally and forcibly locked (usage restricted).
This matter is currently under investigation, including the possibility that it may be caused by services provided by our company or by third-party services that integrate with our services.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers and would like to report the situation as follows.
■Status of the Incident
1. Date and Time
Occurred from approximately 10:00 PM on October 17, 2021, to approximately 7:00 AM on October 18, 2021
2. Affected Devices
A subset of mobile devices managed by our CLOMO mobile device management service that utilize Android Enterprise features provided by Google.
*The exact scope of affected devices is currently under investigation.
3. Cause
The detailed cause is currently under investigation.
4. Workaround
For devices that have been unintentionally locked due to this issue, you can unlock them by selecting the affected device from the Devices screen in CLOMO PANEL and executing the "Unlock Local Lock" command.
5. Additional Information
Our mobile device management service "CLOMO" utilizes advanced management features provided by Google's Android Enterprise. However, due to the specifications of these Android Enterprise features, if CLOMO detects any issues on a managed device, it will automatically enforce usage restrictions (locking) on the affected device as a security measure.
This incident occurred because Android Enterprise detected an issue. We are investigating the cause, including the possibility that it stems from our service or third-party services integrated with CLOMO.
