With this feature implementation, IT administrators at corporations, educational institutions, and medical facilities can now remotely perform the following actions via CLOMO MDM on lost iOS/Android smartphones and tablets: * Display a device recovery message and contact information * Enforce a lock until the device is recovered (*1) * Force retrieval of device location information (*2) * Continuously issue device initialization commands indefinitely (*3)Utilizing this feature enhances loss countermeasures for smartphones and tablets used by corporations, educational institutions, and medical facilities, reducing the risk of device disposal due to loss and the risk of information leakage due to unauthorized device use.
This feature is highly effective for preventing theft and loss. Apple's "Find My iPhone" service, primarily offered to individuals, provides similar functionality. Data released in the year it launched indicated that iPhone thefts decreased by 50% in London, 40% in San Francisco, and 25% in New York.
When this feature is applied to a device, CLOMO MDM automatically sends a notification email to IT administrators. This allows IT administrators to monitor the feature application status on lost devices without accessing the CLOMO MDM management console, enabling efficient management.
